We, cousins, have written the following to tell,
How we have tried to keep Christmas and keep it well.
Its spirit can’t be bought and it isn’t for sale,
And where and when it arrives no one can foretell.
We need to sow love and surprise in every plan,
As we seek to serve God and our fellow man.
So we dedicate this book to our cousin, Lindsey Rose,
She has the spirit of Christmas everywhere she goes.
What a sad time for our hearts to receive,
The news she has cancer on Christmas Eve.
When told she’d have to have her presents in the hospital on Christmas day, She said, “Daddy, it’s not about the presents, it’s about Jesus’s birthday.”
Lindsey Rose knows how to keep Christmas well even when she isn’t well!
