News Releases
As part of our standard services for any book intended for commercial distribution,
Chapel Hill Press will compose a news release announcing the publication
and availability of your new book. You will have the opportunity to read
a draft of your news release and make any changes you desire before it is
finalized. We will then distribute it, along with a cover letter and, at
your option, complimentary copies of your book to a list (which we will develop
with you) of potential retailers and reviewers of your book.
Chapel Hill Press can also arrange to make your book available
through successful online book retailers such as amazon.com
and barnesandnoble.com.
Marketing Campaign Design
As a self-published author, you are the most important
ingredient in marketing your book. A successful marketing
campaign will depend almost entirely on your energy, your
enthusiasm, your belief in your book's value, your ability
to use your community connections, and finally, your willingness
and ability to get out there and push, push, push your
book.
Although we are not a marketing organization, Chapel
Hill Press can help get you started in the right direction.
In addition to our standard project package, we can arrange
optional Marketing Consultations to help you develop a
basic marketing plan, including identifying:
- Your target market segment(s)
- Potential distribution and sales channels
- Potential venues and/or organizations for book signings,
readings, and speaking engagements
- Publications where display advertising will be likely
to reach your target market segment(s)
Advertising
Chapel Hill Press can, as an optional service, professionally design and place
display advertising to help you promote your book in newspapers, magazines, and
other publications.
Promotional
Literature
Mailing pieces, such as postcards and flyers, can be effective tools in marketing
your book.
Chapel Hill Press can, as an optional service, design, produce,
and distribute direct-mail pieces to help you promote your
book to its target market(s).
