Distribution & Order Fulfillment
Chapel Hill Press has relationships with wholesale book distributors, as well as retail booksellers. For a reasonable fee, we can fulfill orders for your book from distributors, retailers, and individuals. Net revenues from book sales, once collected, are remitted to authors on a quarterly basis. Wholesalers receive a standard 55% discount off the retail price of your book, and they do not pay incoming freight on their orders. Retailers receive discounts of 20-40% depending upon the quantity of books they order. Both wholesalers and retailers expect to be able to return unsold books for refund many months after the books were ordered. These are current standards in the bookselling industry.
